One quick and easy way to salvage a blurry or distorted photograph is to turn it into a drawing. This can be easily done by tracing the photo with a felt tip marker and then (using a pencil, a light box [any window will do] and a sheet of paper) tracing the felt tip marker lines. Then carefully analyze the details (the shadows and the highlights) in the photoraph and complete the drawing. With enough practice you will soon discover that you can capture the likeness of any face without needing to trace it first.
