Atoning for the theft of a glamorous photo from her Facebook page...

This is a drawing I did of my friend Denise Barnes.  I snagged her glamourous photo from her Facebook page (shame on me) and went to drawing.  The sketches were fairly easy...the final, color version was easy but more time consuming.  I uploaded the portrait to a greeting card and had it mailed to her via my wholesale greeting cards system.  She thanked me and then told her best friend (who happens to be my sister) that she's in love with her card.  I can't tell you how good that makes me feel.

Drawright.com has assembled an amazing gallery of before and after drawings. These were collected from a recent Five Day Intensive Drawing Class. The students came from various professions and backgrounds but all had one common goal - to learn to draw. Only five days had elapsed between "before" and "after"!

I've been experimenting with vector drawing recently and I'm coming up with some interesting results. This drawing of my grandson Ivan is a pseudo-vector drawing done with Adobe Photoshop.
